About Project Implicit

Project Implicit is a non-profit organization that provides educational presentations and consulting for corporations, universities, non-profits, and other organizations focusing on diversity and inclusion, implicit bias, bias in decision-making, and barriers to innovation. We also provide researchers with data collection and research design consulting services using our web-based infrastructure. Through our programs and services, Project Implicit aims to (1) provide public education about implicit bias and related phenomena, (2) support the development of methodological tools to measure implicit bias, and (3) provide a “virtual laboratory” for collecting social psychological data on the Internet.

The Role

To support our education and research efforts, Project Implicit seeks to hire a full-time Research Coordinator who will report to the Director of Operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who wants to make a substantial, mission-driven impact in social science research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for prospective research clients and external researchers who have contracted with Project Implicit
  • Manage an inquiry pipeline and production queue for research clients
  • Lead the development, programming, and testing for web-based research study materials using HTML and Javascript
  • Provide processed data to research clients as requested
  • Review and maintain documentation for research and education clients using cloud-based tools including the full Google Suite and customer relationship management software
  • Support administrative tasks related to contracts, social media, and finance as needed

Skills and Qualifications

  • Background in scientific methodology (BA or higher)
  • Outstanding professionalism in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to maintain a high work ethic and level of communication in a remote working environment, including the ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and respect for deadlines
  • Ability to conduct data analysis using data analysis software (e.g. SPSS, R)
  • Programming and/or web development skills preferred; willingness to learn these skills required
  • Customer service and/or account management skills preferred

Remote Work

Project Implicit does not have a central office location. The Project Implicit team works remotely and connects daily via phone and video conferencing.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $30,000-$35,000 annually. Salary is commensurate with experience. Project Implicit offers full-time employees a 401(k) option; health, dental, vision insurance; and two weeks of paid leave annually.

Start Date

The chosen candidate must be available to begin training no later than Monday, July 15, 2019.
